WR Burress will face justice in September

Former New York Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress's defense lawyer Benjamin Brafman told reporters that the legal case about nlicensed pistol will be delayed to September.

Burress accidentally shot himself with an unlicensed pistol and will have to take part in a brief hearing on Monday. The justice was delayed because Burress and prosecutors have yet to agree on a plea deal.

If he is judged guilty, Burress will face 3.5 years of imprisonment. And he is now free on $100,000 bail.

The NFL has not made any comment on the matter.
