Sahel Kazemi, the woman who committed the murder-suicide in an apartment McNair shared with a friend in Nashville, was buried Friday in Florida in a private ceremony with about 30 friends and family members.
She is only 20 years old. She dropped out of high school at age 17 and moved to Nashville, Tenn., from Florida with a boyfriend. A few months ago she met McNair and began dating with him. Police said that she was out of control when she shot McNair because of financial problems and suspicion of McNair dating with another young woman. She gave McNair four shot and herself one shot afterwards, ending two lives. (No one was wearing steelers jersey.)
She was laid to rest in a modest brown casket after a 30-minute ceremony at Jacksonville Memory Gardens, just before a rain shower began. Cemetery officials tried thier best to prevent reporters and photographers from disrupting the funeral and talking with Kazemi's family members.
