Vegas casino sued Broncos RB Jordan in gambling debts

Lawyers for The Mirage hotel-casino filed a lawsuit Thursday, suing Denver Broncos running back LaMont Jordan over $20,000 in gambling debts plus interest.

The suit was filed in Clark County District court. It indicated in an attached application that Jordan applied for six gambling markers in June 2008, identifying himself as a football player for the Oakland Raiders. But the check-like markers were returned because of insufficient funds or an inability to locate the account when they were deposited.

Jordan played for Oakland from 2005 through 2007, and played for New England last year. However, by so far no comment has come from either any of the three NFL teams or the casino about the lawsuit.
