Seahawks CB Trufant to make season debut on Sunday

The Seattle Seahawks activated the 2007 Pro Bowl cornerback Marcus Trufant from the physically-unable-to-perform list Friday after placing linebacker Lofa Tatupu on injured reserve.

Trufant practiced for the first time last week with the team since July, when a disk issue in his back began, and will play his first game of the season in Seahawks jersey on this Sunday at Dallas. He is expected by Coach Jim Mora to play mainly in nickel defensive alignments on passing downs against the Cowboys. The starting job will be shared by Josh Wilson and Ken Lucas again.

Trufant just returned in time to fill the spot left by Tatupu as the three-time Pro Bowl linebacker had a surgery this week to repair his torn left pectoral muscle and went on IR list.
