Cardinals WR Fitzgerald went through limited practice Wednesday

Since putting on the No.11 Cardinals jersey in 2004, Larry Fitzgerald has missed just four games in his six NFL seasons, and he doesn’t expect to make it five this weekend. Practicing on limited basis Wednesday, the wide receiver was hopefully to play this Sunday’s game against the Detroit Lions.

The All-Pro receiver for the Cardinals expressed confidence he will be in the lineup Sunday at Detroit, just six days after he bruised a bone and sprained his right knee during Monday night’s 23-9 loss to the San Francisco 49ers when 49ers safety Dashon Goldson landed on his leg in the third quarter.

Fitzgerald was helped off the field and went to the locker room, where he said he “got a good tape job and a t-shot,” referring to a painkilling injection. But he still returned to the field with 3 1/2 minutes left. An MRI on Tuesday proved that the injury was not as serious as many were afraid to be.
