Just one day after being hurt during Monday’s night’s 45-12 loss to the New York Giants, the Washington Redskins quarterback Jason Campbell wore back his Redskins jersey and returned to practice with his teammate on Tuesday.
Campbell was hurt when he was sacked from behind by Giants defensive end Osi Umenyiora with 45 seconds remaining in the first half. Backup quarterback Todd Collins finished the half, but Campbell returned after the break, seeming that the injury was not serious enough to stop him passing ball.
Campbell was 2 for 7 for 10 yards when he was injured, with his first pass a 46-yard completion to Santana Moss. The Redskins trailed 24-0 at the time and had only one first down, but they soon lost the lead with two more players leaving the field because of injuries: right tackle Stephon Heyer left in the first half with a knee injury, and receiver Devin Thomas sprained his ankle early in the third quarter.

Bills signed new players to improve injury-riddled defense
After announcing that both linebackers Kawika Mitchell and Marcus Buggs will be out for the season with injuries, the Buffalo Bills signed linebacker Chris Draft and safety Todd Johnson Tuesday to improve a defense that has been besieged by injuries since the season opener.
Both newly signed players are veterans. Draft is a 10-year veteran who had 38 tackles for the Rams last season, and Johnson was picked by the Chicago Bears in 2003 fourth round. Johnson played three years in Bears jersey and joined the St. Louis Rams in 2007. Both are expected to bolster Bills’ anemic defense.
The Bills have lost cornerback Leodis McKelvin for the year, and linebacker Paul Posluszny broke his forearm in season opener at New England and would be out for several weeks and safeties Bryan Scott and Donte Whitner have missed the past games with injuries. Having lost eight straight games within the division since last year, I guess the Bills are eager to regain strength for the rest of the season.
