If the Tennessee Titans do not take action in time to keep Pro Bowl center Kevin Mawae, other teams could make their effort to sign him away. Actually, the Denver Broncos have already expressed their interest in getting the center before the free agency ends.
The Broncos need a center because they lost center Casey Wiegmann to the Kansas City Chiefs in free agency, and though the team is looking to get younger at that position, Mawae is still possible to put on Titans jersey as an unrestricted free agent if the Broncos offer an attractive contract in time.
However, Mawae also has the option to return to the Titans because he could be able to play a depth role if staying with the Titans. At age 39, he is too old to start any new era with a new team. He managed to finish the 2009 season without suffering injuries and was voted to Pro Bowl again, so staying with the Titans before retirement could be a better choice for the 17-year veteran.

LB Bulluck does not expect new deal from Titans
With his current contract with the Tennessee Titans to expire soon, linebacker Keith Bulluck has a realistic attitude toward his relationship with the team. Recovering from a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee, Bulluck believes that the 2009 season was the last one he played in Titans jersey.
“I have seen guys who have been figureheads here being released,’’ Bulluck said. “I prepared myself over the years for this, because I knew at some point my time would come. My time is here now. I have appreciated this organization for giving me the opportunity—29 other teams passed over me. I made the most of my opportunity here, so we’ll see what happens."
Although Titans Coach Jeff Fisher thought Bulluck was a bit pessimistic, he acknowledged that the team needs time weigh Bulluck’s value before considering new contract. Any team would do so with an established player coming off a serious injury. Bulluck is possibly right to say that the Titans are at the NFL scouting combine looking for his replacement, but what he needs and can do now is to be patient with the rehabilitation of his knee and wait for teams to give him chance to play in 2010 season.

Impossible Task: 5-6Titans to beat 11-0 Colts
Winning five straight games since they changed quarterback to Vince Young, the Tennessee Titans are now thinking that they may have the chance to be the first team who beats the unbeaten Indianapolis Colts of the season, something no one would expected when Titans met Colts for the first time in this season with a 0-4 start.
But even with a winning streak of six games, it still sounds like an impossible task for the 5-6 Titans to beat 11-0 Colts. But wait, it just sounds possible for Young, who has led the Titans to 6-0 since taking the starting job, to bring the Titans another win, although Colts Quarterback Peyton Manning may not allow that to happen.
While the Colts are looking to match an NFL record with their 21st consecutive regular-season victory, the Titans are trying to win sixth straight game, have a crucial win to remain in playoff and be the first team beating Colts.
Each team has its own aces. The Colts have top quarterback Peyton Manning, and four-time Pro Bowl defensive end Dwight Freeney could wear back his Colts jersey and return to play with the team this Sunday. As for the Titans, Young has thrown for a career-high 387 yards and converted three fourth downs on the final drive, and they have the NFL’s leading rusher Chris John, who has run for 1,396 yards in the games he has played.
Impossible or possible, any kind of end of the game will be as exciting.

Titans are hopefully to start winning streak
After turning the starting job at quarterback to Vince Young, it seemed that the Tennessee Titans finally welcomed their turning point of the season. Starting at 0-6 with quarterback being Kerry Collins, the team has won two straight games since quarterback wearing No.10 Titans jersey being the starter. And the Titans are hoping that Young will lead them to more wins and back to the team resembling.
“Guys feel rejuvenated, guys are happy about what we’ve done over the last two weeks,” veteran center Kevin Mawae said Monday. “Things kind of snowballed on us the first six weeks of the season, but we overcame that. We’re starting to overcome the penalties and starting to overcome the things that don’t go our way.”
Coach Jeff Fisher may stop considering that Collins would bring the Titans more chance to win now. The 2006 Offensive Rookie of the Year has shown all the qualities required by being a starting quarterback in these two starts and completed 64.3 percent of his passes. Rather than bringing winning chance to the team, he simply brings wins to the team.

Titans brought back Boiman to add linebacker depth
After Josh Stamer, Stephen Tulloch and Colin Allred got injured one after another, the Tennessee Titans felt obviouly short-handed at linebacker. That feeling forced them to sign two more linebackers Tuesday.
One of the two is linebacker Rocky Boiman, who was a fourth-round draft pick by the Titans in 2002 and spent four seasons with the team. After he left the team as a free agent, he joined the Indianapolis Colts and played on their Super Bowl XLI championship team. He helped Kansas City Chiefs last season. We can believe that Boiman's coming back will provide depth at Titans' linebacker.
Besides resigning Boiman, the titans also signed linebacker is Tyson Smith, and released quarterback Alex Mortensen and defensive back Jeremy Haynes.
